1. Who we are

Life-Changing Wisdom Marketplace (“LCWM,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is an online marketplace operated by Life-Changing Wisdom Marketplace LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company with its principal place of business at 1019 Main St, Unit #1033, Bridgeport, CT 06604. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the website at lifechangingwisdom.com and the services we provide (together, the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. What the marketplace is

LCWM is a marketplace where independent authors and creators (“Vendors”) sell books, merchandise, coaching, and related products (“Products”) to buyers (“Customers”). We provide the platform, the storefront infrastructure, payment processing, and fulfillment integrations. The Vendor is the seller of record for their Products.

We are not the manufacturer, author, or publisher of Vendor Products. We provide the venue and the tools. Vendors are responsible for their own Products, listings, pricing, and compliance.

3. Accounts

To buy or sell on the Service, you create an account. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it current. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your password secure. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.

We may suspend or close an account that violates these Terms, that creates risk or legal exposure for us, or that harms the experience of other users.

4. Buying on the marketplace

When you buy a Product, you are buying from the Vendor, with LCWM facilitating the transaction. Prices are set by the Vendor and shown at checkout. Payment is processed through our payment provider, Stripe. Applicable sales tax is calculated and added at checkout.

Physical books are printed and shipped through our print-on-demand partners, including Lulu. Merchandise is fulfilled through partners including Printful. Production and shipping times are shown where available and are estimates, not guarantees.

Refunds and returns are governed by our Refund and Return Policy, which is part of these Terms.

5. Selling on the marketplace

Vendors who sell on the Service agree to the Vendor Agreement, which is a separate document and part of these Terms. The Vendor Agreement covers revenue share, payouts, customer data, content standards, and the responsibilities of selling on the platform.

In summary: the retail price your customer pays is split between the Vendor and the platform. On book sales the split is 85/15 in the Vendor’s favor; on merchandise and other Products the split is 80/20 in the Vendor’s favor. The split is calculated on the retail price, before production costs. The Vendor’s share carries the production cost of physical Products (what our print partners charge to make and ship each item). The platform’s share carries the payment processing fees, which we do not pass to Vendors. Vendors set their own retail prices and own the relationship with their customers, subject to the data and marketing terms in the Vendor Agreement.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Break the law or infringe anyone’s rights, including intellectual property rights.
• Upload Products or content you do not have the right to sell or share.
• Misrepresent your Products, your identity, or your affiliation.
• Interfere with the Service, attempt to gain unauthorized access, or scrape the site without our permission.
• Harass, threaten, or harm other users.

7. Content and intellectual property

Vendors retain ownership of the content they upload, including their books, cover art, and brand. By listing on the Service, Vendors grant us a license to display, market, and fulfill their Products through the Service and our promotional channels.

The LCWM name, logo, site design, and platform are our property. You may not use them without our permission.

If you believe content on the Service infringes your copyright, contact us at team@lifechangingwisdom.com with the details, and we will respond in accordance with applicable law.

8. Payments and taxes

Payments are processed by Stripe. By transacting on the Service, you agree to Stripe’s terms as well. We are not responsible for errors or delays caused by the payment processor.

You are responsible for any taxes that apply to your own purchases or sales, except where we are required to collect and remit them. We calculate and collect Connecticut sales tax where applicable.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. We do not make warranties about the quality, safety, or legality of Vendor Products, because Vendors, not LCWM, produce and sell them.

To the fullest extent allowed by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, LCWM and its owners, employees, and partners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost profits or revenue, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid through the Service in the six months before the claim, or one hundred dollars, whichever is greater.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless LCWM and its owners, employees, and partners from any claims, losses, or expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising from your use of the Service, your Products, your content, or your violation of these Terms.

12. Changes to the Service and these Terms

We may change the Service or these Terms. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date and, where appropriate, notify you. Your continued use after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

13. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you violate these Terms or create risk for the Service or other users. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnification.

14. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute that is not resolved informally will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Connecticut, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
